Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall ♡

Happy October! 👻🎃🍁🍂🍃☕ I can’t believe I’m already saying that! It seems like we were just celebrating Independence Day. It’s like we blink and the year is almost over! I really love summer time, but Fall just has this cozy feel to it that makes me love it so much. Although we don’t get a Fall in Florida, we can still enjoy many aspects of the season! IMG_20151001_101027One of my absolute favorite things about Fall is pumpkin flavored everything. The coffee, the muffins, pie… i just love it all! A lot of people hate it (they don’t know what they’re missing). The fact that you can have the taste of pumpkin pie in your coffee is uhhmazingggg! I love to bake, especially during Fall and the holidays. I see a batch of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies in my  near future!

I am obsessed with Fall scented candles! There are so many yummy flavors and we always have at least 2 different scents burning!

We may not have the opportunity to enjoy the boots, scarves, and hoodies until about December, but I love pumpkin carving with family and Halloween! After carving, we always bake a huge batch of the seeds with salt! Mmm mmm! Snuggling up and watching Halloween movies is an absolute must!  And for all you football fans, football season!

2015-10-01 11.07.52Aside from all of the Fall-ish type events, October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month! Encourage your loved ones to get checked! Most people dont show signs or symptoms and often don’t have any family history of it.

My littlest sister will be turning 17 in 20 days!! I can’t even comprehend how that is happening already! And on the 23rd, Mike and I will be engaged for 1 year! I know, I can’t believe it either. ♡ Speaking of being engaged, I found my dream ring that we were searching for before we settled on diamond rings. So yes, I have a new ring, but I will blog all about that in another post! ♡

October is an eventful, exciting month! Are you all excited for Fall?! 🍁🍂🍃

Weekend Getaway | Day 1 Adventures in Orlando

This past weekend, my fiance and I had planned to have a little getaway before school starts and our lives become hectic next week. It was nice to get out of town and explore different parts of our state. We decided to stay in Orlando and visit St. Augustine on Saturday ( it will be featured on Day 2). We’ve been to Orlando plenty of times, but the change of scenery is so refreshing. It was nice to disconnect and spend quality time with each other.

We started the day shopping at the International Premium Outlets. I love shopping here and get so many great deals. If you’ve been following me, you know I am obsessed with Kate Spade. I have been looking for a hot pink bag and when we went to the Kate Spade store, I found one!! Even though Mike just bought me a new one for my birthday, I had to have it. I didn’t have to have it, but it was heavily discounted and I couldn’t pass it up!

My new beauties.

We did a little more shopping and had lunch. It started to pour while we were shopping and of course we brought umbrellas…but left them in the car! We spent most of the time waiting for the rain to die down. We eventually made it to our hotel!

Rosen Shingle Creek.

I love coming to this hotel. It is so beautiful and the hotel staff is so friendly. It’s so comfortable; it feels like a home away from home.

City Walk.

We relaxed and waited for the rain to let up. We were able to go to City Walk for dinner as planned. We decided to have Mexican food for dinner.

How cool is this restaurant?

Since we didn’t do much relaxing all day, we went back to the hotel and relaxed for the rest of the night. This post is different than my usual beauty/food posts, but I wanted to share our weekend adventures with you all. St. Augustine post will soon follow! 🙂
